Bokeh (or sometimes spelt Boke) originated from a japanese word meaning “blur” or “unclear”. In photography it means unable to focus.¬†When done right, photographers can make use of Bokeh to create amazing photographs. Bokeh is created through the use of a very wide aperture to create shallow depth of field which causes lights in the background to look like blurry orbs.

The above photo titled “Wet Bokeh” was taken through a wet glass window overlooking a street at night. Going around DeviantART, Flickr and Google Images, I’ve collected a few bokeh photographs I personally love (more after the break).
